Situated along a key trade route between Liverpool and Manchester, Dakin aimed to create a gin appealing to both affluent locals and travelers. His contributions significantly enhanced gin's reputation after a period of societal blame, leading to his recognition as a pioneer of high-quality English gin. This gin utilizes a British neutral grain spirit infused with 11 botanicals for several hours. While the full botanical list is confidential, it includes juniper, coriander seeds, orange peel, fresh grapefruit, cubebs, liquorice root, angelica, and red cole. The gin undergoes a single distillation and is bottled at 40% ABV.

I brought this gin to a relative's gathering in October, seeking something distinct. It met my expectations. One of the botanicals included, not mentioned in your description, is horseradish, which imparts an exceptional sharpness and a lingering warmth. Overall, a very satisfying gin I'll reserve for future special events.
Citrus zest, vibrant botanicals (coriander, coriander seed), cucumber essence. Lively and zesty
This was sampled a few days ago. Easy drinking and enjoyable. (Combined with Schweppes tonic.)
Decent. Smells of juniper and horseradish. Very strong horseradish notes.
Heat, peppery, strong with juniper. Good when paired with FT Med.
Pleasant sweetness.
