I must deeply apologize to everyone for how poor my initial assessment of this was. On its own, this doesn't taste too bad, but I recently conducted a direct comparison of various ready-to-drink Margarita options, and it became clear how terrible this actually is. There is no scent or hint of agave in this product, which is baffling because at 12.5% it should be noticeable. But that wouldn't be off-putting on its own if it didn't smell so awful. We're talking about concentrated lime flavor and dusty, syrupy sweet and sour mix. On the palate, you don't get much of any distinct flavor. It doesn't taste bad, strictly speaking. Just very cheap and uninspired. Lime Concentrate, some sweet and sour. That's it. I'd expect this from a casual dining establishment during peak hours. This is drinkable. It won't make you gag, but there's truly no justification for ever buying it. For just $2 more, you can get the excellent Cutwater Lime Margarita. I wouldn't refuse this at a casual gathering, but I still wouldn't seek it out. I'm keeping my original review visible because it still reflects how I felt initially, but after a more deliberate tasting compared to other products, it's obvious this isn't a quality product. If this is the benchmark, it hasn't been set very high.

This ready-to-drink option lives up to its name well. Considering it's 12.5% ABV and costs $10 for a four-pack, it serves its purpose without being exceptional. It's comparable to a strong, unremarkable margarita from a chain restaurant like Chili's. It lacks freshness but isn't unpleasant; it's a thoroughly average beverage with no special qualities. It's a bit too syrupy, the lime juice tastes like standard concentrate, and the quality of the tequila is noticeable in the finish. However, no single element is out of balance. It's not excessively sweet, sour, or alcoholic; it's just very generic. But honestly, for the price, I would definitely purchase it again.
