The nose is subtle for a rye, especially at 112 proof, smelling more like a bourbon with prevailing caramel. The palate definitely reveals its rye nature, tasting like baked bread. More intriguingly, a strong mint flavor emerges at the end and dominates the finish. There's a lot of mint. Wow. The longer you drink it, the more the mint takes over. After a while, it starts to resemble toothpaste.

Certainly good. Lots of spice and a strong Kentucky effect. I anticipated a bit more balance with added sweetness and a better finish. It's definitely a spirit to be sipped slowly. There are much better ryes available at a lower price, but I'm still happy to own it.
Incredibly smooth with a significant rye kick. This is exactly my kind of drink! I love it!
Barrel pick from Gays Hops and Schnapps. Incredible.
