This is why I adore products like this. The label is unpretentious, the age is young, and the narrative is straightforward. It's a four-year-old MGP high rye mash bill, bottled at cask strength and hand-picked as a single barrel for a particular shop or group. However, the spirit itself is exceptional. It's full-bodied, zesty, intense, with notes of caramel, butterscotch, and typical bourbon essences. It delivers everything expected and then some. And still, there's no ostentatious bottle or elaborate tale about a distiller rescuing his final barrels from a burning church. Just expertly crafted bourbon for less than $50. This is consistently a worthwhile purchase.

Kirby Scott 2.3

Grew up in New England, consumed less than a quarter of it, then left it at the Air BnB as I didn't want it to spill in my checked luggage, plus it's likely my least favorite barrel-proof bourbon I've encountered.

Jordon Shin 2.8

Initially, I detected a warming sensation on the tongue. The middle and finish were smooth with caramel notes. After letting it rest, the initial sensation lessened. Perhaps my palate isn't suited for this.

Gilberto Segura 3.8

Brown sugar, caramel, sweet dark plums, and dark chocolate. I didn't detect the plum initially, but it developed on the mid-palate. I perceive more spice than the previous review indicated.

Alaina Stephenson 4.3

Far superior to what I anticipated considering its age, yet it's a syrupy, decadent, traditional bourbon exhibiting minimal burn despite its alcohol content. The packaging is also superb and a worthwhile purchase for the cost.

Misty Wyman 4.3

A pleasant caramel note on the finish.
