This 40-year-old single malt, created by whisky maker Bob Dalgarno, has been exclusively matured in oloroso sherry casks. It is the second non-vintage 40-year-old release from the distillery. Production yielded 500 bottles, with 70 designated for the US market. The bottling strength is 45% ABV.

Of all the whiskies I've tasted, this is hands-down the best. It might even be the best I ever get to try. It's opulent and smooth, with notes of dried fruit, mango, cocoa, and a cherry jolly rancher sweetness. It genuinely feels like you are experiencing a piece of the past. The finish is thick and peppery.
