Julien Addison 5.0

Color: Beautiful mahogany. Aroma: floral and similar to Pinot Noir, incredibly delicate and beautiful. Compared to Mac 18, every detail and touch is more exquisite. The grape fruitiness and the sherry's characteristic spice and woodiness combine beautifully. A slight nuttiness, and with time, a soft, honey-like acacia blossom sensation gently envelops it. Palate: Floral notes explode, with sherry, grape fruitiness, and spice. The beautiful spices are particularly prominent, and the balance is perfect. No harsh tannins. Finish: Cacao nibs and a bit of leather. Beautiful and delicate. A hint of nuttiness (almonds). Not the stale smell of sherry raisins, but a soft, delicate, beautiful aroma. Overall, it's not whisky, it's wine. It constantly evolves, exactly like Pinot Noir. Gradually, the nutty honey becomes stronger, with a distinct Davidoff-like feel.

I bought this on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it! Excellent vanilla and cherry notes, likely from the sherry cask influence, and it's worth the cost!
