This exceptional bottling is part of The Macallan's Double Cask collection. The aging process involves American oak from Ohio, Missouri, and Kentucky, as well as European oak from northern Spain and southern France. Casks made from these woods were seasoned with sherry for up to 18 months in Jerez before being brought to The Macallan Estate in Speyside and filled with new-make spirit. After extensive aging, the finest casks were selected. The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old is matured for three decades in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks. It is bottled at 43% ABV and has been available globally in limited quantities since September, 2021.
