About this bottle

Glenrothes Manse Reserve, intended for the travel retail market, draws its name from a residence on Manse Brae overlooking Rothes and its distillery. This house is occupied by the eighth generation of the distillery's founding family, who play a significant role in the Rothes community. This Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% ABV, has undergone maturation primarily in American oak with some influence from sherry oak.

Harrison Bone 4.3

Nose: Creamy, vanilla, floral. Palate: Sherry, vanilla, orchard fruit, currants/raisins, cream, baking spices (nutmeg & cinnamon). Finish: Medium long. More orchard fruit, vanilla, and a little salt/brine. Creamy and floral, with some woody notes in the aftertaste. This is a wonderful, creamy, mouth-coating, and sherried dram with many evolving flavors. It's a whisky to contemplate, but don't take too long – the bottle won't last! I sampled this a couple of times but have now bought a full bottle!

Mariana Cummings 3.5

Fruits on the nose, predominantly plum and citrus. Grains flow across the tongue, with a hint of fruit and spice. Finish is hot and lingering.

Margery Seaman 4.0

Sweet. Dry. Fruity and Citrusy

Roslyn Blackman 5.0

Fruity and easy to consume!
