This single malt, bottled from a limited number of casks filled in 1978, was among the final releases from the Glenrothes vintage collection, which represents about 2% of the distillery's production. Although Glenrothes has significant production capacity, much of its output is used in blends like Famous Grouse or Cutty Sark. This malt was distilled on March 11th, 1978, and bottled on July 1st, 2008, at 43% ABV.

Floral sherry nose. It starts sweet with a cake-like sensation. A peppery feel and oak notes create a very long finish.
