About this bottle
Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection, featuring highly aged single malts from renowned, obscure, or shuttered distilleries chosen by the Urquhart family, includes this Glenrothes bottling. Distilled in 1974 and matured for 44 years in a refill sherry puncheon, it was bottled in 2018 from cask #18440, yielding 276 bottles. This is one of two bottles from the collection released at the close of 2018 with an updated appearance.
