About this bottle
Speyside's GlenAllachie distillery, now under the direction of Billy Walker, is being re-established as a significant single malt Scotch. This initiative follows Walker's sale of The BenRiach Company to Brown-Forman. The 1978 vintage, aged for 39 years, is one of six whiskies selected to commemorate the distillery's 50th anniversary. These six bottlings, all from single casks and presented at cask strength, also signify the first official releases from the new ownership. They became available in April 2018 and sold out rapidly.
