Balvenie Triple Cask 25 Year

Good grief, this one must be flawed. It can't possibly be this bad. It's essentially just water. I'm hoping this was an anomaly, as it retails for around $520, and it would be a true shame to spend that much and receive such an 'empty' dram. Bottled at 40% ABV. The nose offers sparkling water, soda crackers, malty notes, foam, and acetone. Utterly unremarkable. The palate is perhaps oaky, WATER, nothingness, and chocolate. Yes, the absence of flavor is a distinct note here. Haha. No lingering taste whatsoever. Alright... the rating for this is... 34 out of 100. And honestly, I feel that's a generous score. Flee. Run from it.

Nose: Sparkling water, soda crackers, malty, foam, acetone. Absolutely nothing. Palate: It's oaky, I guess. WATER, nothingness, and chocolate. Yes, 'nothing' is a tasting note here. Haha. Zero aftertaste. My score for this is.... 34 out of 100. And I think that's generous. Run. Run from it.
