About this bottle
The Balvenie Fifty: Marriage 0614 represents the third and final part of this series. Malt master David Stewart crafted it by combining rare single malts aged for 50 years or more in both American and European oak casks, similar to the two prior editions. The single malt component from American oak casks originated from the same casks used for Marriage 0197. However, the European oak casks were new and constitute 36% of the blend. The whisky comes in a wooden tube constructed from 50 layers (48 elm, 2 brass), accompanied by an etched brass certificate and bottle glorifier. The decanters are entirely hand-blown crystal. It has been offered globally in limited quantities since September 2020.
