About this bottle
The Balvenie's DCS Compendium series, a collection of 25 bottles released in five annual installments starting in 2015, honors Malt Master David Stewart's five decades with the distillery, each release centered on a theme. Chapter 3, themed "Secrets of the Stock Model," was issued in October 2017, exploring maturation and stock management alongside Stewart's personal history in whisky. Cask #11621, a refill American oak hogshead, was filled on December 6, 1993, and bottled on June 19, 2017, at 51.9% ABV.
