The DCS Compendium series consists of 25 bottles, with five released each year beginning in 2015, celebrating Malt Master David Stewart's five decades with the distillery and featuring distinct themes. Chapter 3, released in October 2017, carries the theme "Secrets of the Stock Model." The Balvenie describes this chapter as both an explanation of the intricate methods of maturation and stock control, and a personal reflection on David's career in whisky.
