About this bottle
The DCS Compendium series, a collection of 25 bottles with five released annually since 2015, commemorates Malt Master David Stewart's five decades at the distillery through themed releases. Chapter 3, themed "Secrets of the Stock Model," was introduced in October 2017. This bottling represents the oldest expression ever released by The Balvenie. The European oak oloroso sherry hogshead, Cask #4193, was filled on June 14, 1961, and bottled on June 12, 2017, at 41.7% ABV.
