About this bottle
Tequila Ocho focuses on expressing the unique character of its agave's origin in every bottle. Each batch originates from Blue Agave harvested at its peak ripeness from a specific estate. Rancho ‘El Vergel’ (The Orchard), located near Arandas at an elevation of 2,000 meters, features the distinctive red, iron-rich soil typical of Jalisco’s Highlands. Don Felipe initially considered this land unsuitable for agave cultivation due to occasional frost affecting his lime trees, and peaches were also grown there. This inaugural agave harvest yielded a sugar content of 26.7%, consistent with the regional average.
