About this bottle

The 2020 release of Templeton Rye Barrel Strength Straight Rye marks the third iteration of this bottling. The rye whiskey, originating from MGP in Indiana, features a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Templeton's distillery manager, Lester Brown, curated and blended the barrels for this batch. It was bottled without chill filtration at 113.1 proof and became available in the US and select international markets, including the E.U., in May 2020.

Duncan Holcomb 2.8

The nose has honey and vanilla with a faint hint of spice. It hits the front of your mouth hard. Flavors of apple, apricot, and orange with a vanilla finish.

Brooklynn Kaur 4.3

Caramel and vanilla on the nose. Smooth palate with minimal rye flavor.

Andrew Delgadillo 4.3

Incredibly mellow, excellent rye. Slightly sweet, truly satisfying

Weston Donahue 3.5

It's not as sweet as I prefer, but it's very good nonetheless.
