A friend offered this to me after he had tried it several times and disliked it. He was seeking my assessment. Since we don't always see eye-to-eye, I approached it with a completely open mind. I can only describe this whiskey as dreadful. It was so bad that I didn't bother to analyze its specific characteristics. There was a prominent, unpleasant, yet hard-to-pinpoint flavor on the palate. Eventually, I realized what it was: soap. With that identification made, I will maintain my description of the palate as akin to "dirty dishwater," which is where the remainder of this bottle should be discarded.
