About this bottle

This is the inaugural release in the distillery's Wonder of Wood series. The single malt initially matured in bourbon casks before receiving a finishing period in virgin Amburana Brazilian hardwood. This distillery exclusive is bottled at 56.9% ABV.

The bottle I sampled was the Teeling Explorers Series: Brazil Edition (12 year, 46%), which is also finished in Amburana wood. Nose: floral perfume, cinnamon apple strudel with icing. confectionary sugar, gram cracker Body: medium Finish: cinnamon apple sauce on the finish I truly enjoyed this one--a highlight from our 2022 Advent calendar. I definitely want to find the 14 year version.
