Taylor Garrett Whiskey

This exhibits an unusual cloudiness, presumably from the "accelerated" aging process. The nose is sweet, with notes of corn, charred oak, plum, toffee, rye, and rubber. On the palate, it's strongly reminiscent of raw lumber, with rye, toast, and a touch of caramel sweetness. Overall, I'm not impressed with the outcome; it doesn't seem aged but rather a mixture of underdeveloped flavors with added wood chips. The positive aspect here is that it clearly demonstrates, from my perspective, that you can't artificially replicate barrel aging.

This has a marker-like essence, bringing me back to elementary school days when lessons were written on the overhead projector. The flavor is smoky, woody, and piquant. On the nose, there's a Sharpie-like aroma. It gets the job done after a few generous servings of good liquor.
