This bourbon, featuring a mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley, is aged for at least three years in new, charred oak. It is bottled non-chill filtered at 43% ABV.

It possesses some excellent qualities, yet everything appears subdued. Like a fantastic song played too quietly. This is based on my initial sips with just a tiny bit of water. I'll experiment with more water next time and hopefully, it will bring out more flavors.
It's enjoyable, but it doesn't strike me as a typical rye. It's smooth rather than spicy. The malted barley is prominent, reminiscent of a scotch, perhaps Dalmore 12, with some Crown Royal Winter Wheat mixed in. I obtained it at a discount of $12 off. I would hesitate to pay full price for it.
Decent for an old fashioned; the high rye content is prominent on the nose and it's quite peppery. However, there are more affordable alternatives that achieve the same result.
Not good. The aroma is odd - somewhat like caramel, but not the kind you'd want to consume. For a high rye, I perceived no spice at all. Absolutely no finish. I would not suggest it.

Initial vanilla gives way to a spicy/hot rye. The finish is smooth. I believe it would be fantastic in a Manhattan.
