Launched in early 2021, this Tanqueray Gin is infused with French blackcurrants, vanilla, and floral notes. It is bottled at an alcohol by volume of 41.3%.

A robust character of blackcurrant sweets or preserves is present, along with whispers of juniper, citrus, and floral notes on the nose and when enjoyed straight. However, when mixed with tonic, the pronounced juniper dryness and acidity appear to clash with the predominantly fruity character. Usually sold at its standard price, though it has been found for as little as 16 EUR per bottle previously.
The dark berries are apparent immediately upon opening the bottle. While discernible neat, the alcohol is more prominent. Enjoyable with tonic.
I wouldn't drink it straight, but it's definitely tasty in a gin and tonic. The blackcurrant flavor is noticeable in both aroma and taste.
The best I've ever had, with no hangover at all. I'm excited about the many cocktails I can create.
Gin is generally considered the only spirit that can be "fresh", but that doesn't apply here.
