Summum French Vodka

Rating: 9/23 Nose: Ethanol and a faint scent resembling wheat. That's essentially it. Oh wait! It turns out this is made from wheat! Palate: Mildly sweet, but with some alcohol-induced bitterness. A prickly burn is present, though not overly harsh. For the most part, it's a fairly mellow palate with decent body and some smoothness. Finish: Lingering sweet and bitter notes with a burn. Conclusion: When compared side-by-side, the sweetness of American Plains (11/23) is preferable. It also has a touch of fruitiness that this lacks. The burn is comparable between the two. I don't find them to be significantly different in quality, but I do favor American Plains. This could be a 9, but I'm leaning towards a 10. Ketel One (16/23) is vastly superior. It's smoother, richer, and more refined. Ah, correction: American Plains was actually rated a 10. This is definitely a 9 then.
