This wheat-based vodka, made by A de Fussigny in France's Cognac region, is like the more intricate sibling to Summum, another vodka from Fussigny. Gallant offers more personality than Summum, with the subtle sweetness of wheat balanced by an unusual spicy characteristic for wheat vodkas. Overall, it's a decent vodka for its price.
From France's Cognac region, this smooth wheat vodka is crafted with natural spring water and subjected to seven cold filtrations at Cognac's sole operating distillery. It presents a sharp beginning with hints of flowers and toast, evolving into a rich body that concludes with a velvety finish.
The aroma is very faint, but the taste is smooth. It doesn't leave a burning sensation when finished. Excellent quality for the price.
It was fine mixed in my vodka tonic. However, it's too intense to sip straight.
