Pinnacle Vodka

Now that I've finished moving and setting up my house, I have time to rebuild my bar. I was at my new local liquor store where they had regular Pinnacle Vodka on sale for $8 a bottle, so I took a chance and I'm very glad I did. In the glass, this stuff nicely coats the sides and is very clear. On the nose, there's little to no smell, but at room temperature, there's only an ethanol taste; however, chilled, there's nothing. The body is sweet and vanishes quickly with no real flavor. The finish is also sweet with nothing else remaining. Once again, let me say this was $8 a bottle, and at that price, I'll keep it at my bar. In a regular Martini, it's fine, and for whatever reason, it makes a wonderful Gibson – the onion's sourness is offset by the vodka's sweetness. Lastly, in a Vesper, it works as well as any vodka I've tried so far. Overall, this is an outstanding, low-cost vodka, and again, at $8, it's an absolute steal. Enjoy.

This is more like water than any vodka I’ve encountered, and I intend that as praise. Vodka, after all, is sometimes described with notes of “nail polish remover,” “paper,” and “printer ink,” which are frequently considered not just acceptable but good qualities. Pinnacle lacks these questionable desirable characteristics. It is quite pure, neutral, and uninteresting, which, once more, ranks highly in my personal, nonexistent vodka guide. It has less presence than the conclusion of this vodka. It has less presence than the taste of this concoction. It has less presence than the impact of this insignificant commentary. My apologies for taking up your time. I shall depart. P.S. If you plan to use this as your standard pour, then good for you, as you could fare much worse and spend more money doing it.

The aromas now include wheat, mountain air, and baking spices. The sweet entry features a palate of wheat and spices. The finish is characterized by subtle vanilla, baking spices, and ginger. While Pinnacle Vodka's new formula is drinkable, it is slightly oversweet, making it less suitable as a mixer.

Generally overlooked here. There's a slight ethanol note in the aftertaste, but no unpleasant flavors or harshness. For the most part, it just tastes like distilled alcohol.

Smooth and flavorless, with a very mild sensation on the lip, but can be swirled in the mouth without issue.
