Day 23. Almost done, just one more! I was surprised to find a German whiskey in the calendar, as I only knew them for beer. I was excited to try it and my experience was even more satisfying. The aroma began with a vanilla cream scent. The flavor had notes of chocolate, rye, hints of apple, caramel, and a prominent rye spice in the lingering finish. It was a touch warm, but welcome. A very solid dram. I commend the team at Stork House.

Whiskey Tour of the World 2025 entry #14. Tasted in a Glencairn glass after resting for 15 minutes. Medium amber color. The aroma presented maple with caramel and apple. The palate shifted from fruit to baking spice and clove. The finish was long with moderate warmth. A splash did not introduce any new scents. Overall: 7.5/10 - There's much to appreciate between the nose and the finish, but the palate lacked depth.

This is my first German rye whiskey, and I find it rather unusual. It has a complex array of flavors that are hard to pinpoint. A dryness develops towards the end, with a subtle cherry note on the finish. I'm curious if I'll see it available locally.

Caramel, rye, and vanilla on the nose. The palate delivers silky chocolate and caramel notes. A moderate sweetness precedes a dry finish with rye and pepper spice.
