I had the good fortune to sample this whisky at no cost during my visit to a hotel in Ypres. I always feel a bit pleased when I can taste a whisky produced in my home country. Regrettably, due to the circumstances, I couldn't take detailed tasting notes. Nose - It's like burying your nose in a fruit bowl. Very fruity and sweet, with a distinct focus on the aroma of oranges and sherry. Palate - More vibrant in its taste compared to the standard "Gouden Carolus". Quite young, yet full of character. The palate has a pleasant texture, without being creamy. Finish - Dry and of medium length. Delightfully sweet, fruity, and almost wine-like. I'm very glad to have tasted this whisky. While I wouldn't purchase this particular expression myself, I hope our paths cross again. "Tasty": 3.25 stars | A step above the rest.
