The aroma suggests maple syrup, with intense sweetness and a corn-forward profile. Hints of spice and cinnamon are present, along with some peanut and cereal notes. Overall, a pleasing scent. The taste is lively, with heat focused on the middle of the tongue. The mouthfeel is slightly thin, but this young bourbon presents itself as more mature than its age. The finish is of moderate length. This is an excellent bourbon from a local distillery. I'm keen to see their future creations as their casks mature. I use the rating scale below. The distillery uses a 5-point scale, while I use a 10-point scale, but I'm sure you're capable of the conversion! 1. Awful - So bad I discarded it. 2. Subpar - I would avoid consuming it. 3. Flawed - Contains multiple imperfections. 4. Below average - Not terrible, but I'd prefer other options. 5. Average - Meets expectations. 6. Good - Superior to average. 7. Excellent - Significantly above average. 8. Outstanding - In a class of its own. 9. Unforgettable - A lifetime favorite. 10. Flawless

I must say, I am thoroughly enjoying Monster Mash. I'm new to tasting notes, but the nose certainly appreciated the first aroma. The different blends of Texas Rye and Winter Hawk Wheat stand out brightly and pleasantly on the palate, letting you sip away your worries. The subtle smokiness sneaks up on you, so relax and enjoy; don't let any boogeyman get you. Only the Boogie Woman needs to get you.
This is the best Still Austin I have sampled!
