Rural Inn #4: 121.58 proof Going a bit backward, but the finish is fantastic. It's super long and warm. Returning to the beginning: I detect some honey on the nose along with vanilla bean. Sweet notes are present at the start with a meringue-like quality. Vanilla continues throughout. The heat kicks in quite strongly, which I enjoy, but it might overwhelm your palate for other tastings that night. Overall, this is my preferred style of bourbon, its only drawback is being a little too simple.
