Starr African Rum is exclusively produced on the island of Mauritius. The molasses-based light rum starts with sugarcane grown in the nation's fertile volcanic terrain and is bottled at 40% abv.

A more elegant, understated rendition of Havana Club. It's smooth and sweet at first, featuring notes of caramelized banana and tropical fruit, alongside fennel and pepper. While Havana Club offers good flavor, this spirit is sophisticated enough for sipping neat and subtle enough to impart a mild character to mixed drinks. Available in Ontario for $50.
A subtle Aged Rum from South Africa. It begins with cherry and cardamom notes, then concludes with hints of citrus, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon, adding complexity to a sweet finish. September 2016 / December 2019
By far, my least preferred from The Rum Cruise. It's just black licorice.
