AGE // 5 Years NEAT NOSE - Faint Brown Sugar, Vanilla, Sugar Cookies with Honey Drizzle PALATE - Starts with significant sweetness: honey, graham cracker, and vanilla. Then, a hint of youthful graininess appears, followed by sweet oak that leads into the finish. The texture is velvety. FINISH - Surprisingly lengthy for its age, dominated by honey and sweet oak. BUY? - Yes. I nearly skipped this but I'm pleased I didn't for $65. BUY AGAIN? - Yes. I'm also eager to sample more whiskies from this distillery. This is my first experience with them, and I'm impressed. I'd particularly enjoy trying this spirit with more aging time.
