It has a dark amber color for a 4-year-old whiskey. The nose has caramel and a hint of apple. The spice from the rye immediately hits your palate and intensifies to notes of toasted oak and vanilla. This would be excellent in an Old Fashioned.
Bourbon finished in Calvados barrels. 114.7 proof (57.35 ABV). Tasted at the distillery.
Nose: caramel. Taste: oak…and pleasant
