Enveloping raisins, wood that is well peppery and burnt, a touch of dry rub spices even… Prunes also emerge from a truly trippy nose (think meat juices on the grill with peppery spice rub!), leading to a saline finish, not very sweet, especially on the wood spices (black pepper and cardamom, for example). On the palate, it seems simpler than the nose, with some pink flowers at the start, then a barely tart wine-like angle. An excellent tasting in single cask mode!
