Springbank 9 Year Red Wine Hogshead

Walnuts are found in the oak. There's less smokiness on the nose compared to the distillery's classic 10-year-old. Notes of floral grapefruit, peaches, and zest are enveloped by honey and smoke in the latter half of the sip. The texture is rich and the red wine is not very noticeable. However, everything works wonderfully together. Another superb single cask from Springbank!
