A deep aroma of caramel and hazelnuts meets a strong alcohol presence on the palate, followed by a hint of smoke. A touch of lime and ginger refreshes the whole, with a dry woodiness closing it out. In short, the nose is wonderfully malty with a bit of water, but the flavors remain somewhat rough for a Springbank.
