Johanna Askew 3.8

Quite enjoyable for the price, especially with a 20% discount. I wouldn't guess it's a 12yo Speyside; rather, it seems more like 8 to 10 years old at most. It's not bad, but it's rather average, lacking distinct character apart from some pleasant hints in the flavor. Smell: Acetone, a bit of fermentation sourness, and faint honey. Taste: Sourdough bread crust, pear, black pepper. Finish: Slightly dry, gradually fading with a sweetish layer; the black pepper notes evolve into a tingling sensation like cumin, with the bitterness of caraway seeds.

Nichole Pringle 3.0

A sweet aroma with notes of honey and smoke. Peaty smoky taste. Black pepper and tartness. Lingering spice and some tingling. A decent drink. Not too challenging or complex.

Deon Gaffney 3.3

Reminds me of having drinks with pals in the park, snacking on a chocolate bar that's been dropped in the dirt, and washing it all down with a really good Pilsner.

Amy Spivey 3.0

It has a creamy texture and peppermint flavor, but the acetone aroma is a bit too overpowering for my preference. A decent whisky from M&S, though not exceptional.
