Hailing from Southern Distilling Company in Statesville, NC, Southern Star Reserve Bourbon is a 10-year high rye bourbon. This spirit, which originates from Indiana, is presented at 50% ABV.

Aged ten years, this is flavorful and complex. Notes of leather boots, barrel, cherries, rye spice, and a hint of that distinctive "Southern Star funk." It's the best of the three I have tried from them.
I still enjoy this, although the rye spice is now very prominent. It goes well with V for Vendetta.
I'm so happy I was able to acquire another bottle of this! Congratulations to the Panthers on a great TNF victory.
Glad to revisit this now and then. Among my top high-rye mashbills.
