Loren Kimball 3.5

Nose: Fruit, toffee caramel, nuts, orange, with a hint of flowers. Palate: Refreshing, citrus, nutty/walnut, becoming very woody and malty as it develops. Finish: A moderately long finish. Dry, gristy, woody/oak. A touch of mint and herbs. It sweetens on the aftertaste with more oakiness. Enjoyable and woody, with abundant bright fruity notes on the palate that transition to a sweet woodiness in the finish. While the distillery isn't revealed, it wouldn't be surprising if it were a Blair Athol. This is a whisky I'd call a sipper. Very easy to drink and reasonably priced. Excellent! This was the last of six samples, receiving 0% of the vote for best of the evening. 47% of attendees reported enjoying it.
