The aroma is subtle, with hints of vanilla, Bartlett pear, white pepper, and a touch of citrus. The flavors mirror the aroma on the palate, with the vanilla coating the mouth and teeth, creating a desire for another sip. The pepper's spice gently warms the throat with only a brief burn. The sweetness from the vanilla lingers for a considerable time, bringing out the citrus. There might also be a hint of oak and leather. This is my first spirit from this distillery, and I'm pleased with this purchase as it offers good value. I'm eager to try their other products.
