Aroma - Blueberry maple pancakes and vanilla frosting donuts. It genuinely smells like walking into a bakery in the morning. As it opens, I'm getting many old-fashioned notes like musty, oaky tones. Taste - Everything from the aroma carries over to the taste. A huge amount of maple and vanilla frosting here. Old, dusty oak lingers in the background, providing structure. The rye component makes its presence known just before the finish with a massive burst of bubblegum. The finish ebbs and flows with darker notes of berries and even a hint of rich chocolate fudge. Occasionally, that bubblegum rye note reappears in the finish, which I find delightful. Overall - This is an incredibly flavorful spirit that drinks much smoother than its proof suggests. It's very rich and dessert-like. My only minor complaint is its viscosity for its proof. I'm being very picky, but the heavy maple and high proof make me expect it to be "stickier" and thicker on the palate. The finish is also extremely long, further enhancing my desire for more "body." Worth the price? Absolutely. The value at around $150 is incredible.

The aroma doesn't reveal much. Oak is prominent first. Maple sweetness emerges with a hint of brown sugar / molasses. The palate is fantastic. The sip immediately delivers a deep molasses maple syrup flavor. It reminds me of a big pancake breakfast at a fancy 24/7 diner. I also can't tell where the 64% alcohol is hiding. There's a dry oak note in the background, but it's not distracting or unpleasant. The finish is also great. Just as the flavor starts to fade, it returns and lingers on the back of the tongue with a sweet caramel quality. Very enjoyable.
Superb. I wanted a richer, heavier texture after tasting standard American bourbons. I checked out various releases from the north, and this met my requirements. It was excellent. Substantial and syrupy, quite like maple syrup. Comes alive with a few small ice cubes. I purchased another bottle to keep on hand once this one is gone.
Very pleasant. A trace of cinnamon. Nice vanilla and oak scents. A bit intense, but not excessively so. Nothing is too strong or too dominant. Plenty of flavor, yet well-balanced. It's a keeper.
This tastes like pancakes covered in syrup and the mouthfeel is absolutely incredible! Don't overlook Found North; they are producing some amazing spirits!
Sweet notes of maple, butterscotch, and vanilla mingle with oak and a hint of cinnamon. While not tasting its 128 proof, it does offer a bit more burn compared to some other well-liked Canadian spirits.
