I purchased a bottle of this whiskey some time ago because the bottle is shaped like a military canteen. I had no prior knowledge of this and no expectations. With that in mind, my assessment is that this whiskey is not for sipping. It is harsh and unrefined neat and on the rocks. However, the positive aspect of the drink is when mixed with soda. Not soda water but Coke, Diet Coke, or ginger ale; that's when it starts to taste like something better. By itself, it tastes like the cheap whiskey I drank in college, but with a soft drink, it tastes respectable. I will probably not buy this again unless it's on sale because I do like the bottle, but it's not the liquid inside.
