The aroma is very pleasing with an unfamiliar grain scent that makes sense. Snow Leopard Vodka is produced from spelt grain, a rather uncommon base used by only 7 other vodkas. It also has an ethanol aroma, but it harmonizes well with the grain scents. The unusual aroma carries over to the palate. I can't quite describe it, but it doesn't taste like any other vodka I've had, and I suspect the spelt grain is the dominant flavor. It's neither sweet nor bitter, striking a nice balance before concluding with a pleasant spicy finish. There's not much burn either, although admittedly, smoother options exist. Personally, I enjoyed the spicy kick at the end and the moderate burn. It's very well-executed, and this is a quite good sipping vodka. Bitterness is kept at a pleasant medium level, rounding out the experience and remaining interesting in the background. Yes, this is a nice, agreeable bitterness. It also has a good texture: not as viscous as potato vodkas but not as thin as many corn vodkas feel. If I had to choose one word to describe this vodka, it would be exceptionally well-balanced. While the spelt flavor is prominent on the palate, it never becomes overwhelming, and the bitterness, texture, sweetness, and burn all kept my attention without detracting from the experience. A true pleasure to drink, and I'm happy to know some proceeds support a worthy cause. What's not to like?

I usually stick to gin martinis with a bit of brine. Yet, this is a vodka I'd happily sip as a dirty martini. It's incredibly smooth!
