Hmm, a pleasant find. Some compare it to peated Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, or Ardbeg. I lean towards the latter, especially on the aroma...intense charcoal peat, honey, a hint of citrus. One description said it's like entering a damp forest sauna and inhaling the humid air, and I concur. It's a bit like Ardbeg Grooves, not possessing the same deep charcoal as the committee release but richer than the standard bottling and more balanced than either. The more I sample it, the more I think I could imagine this being an 18-year-old Ardbeg. A nice find. 4.25.

The initial taste is immediately peat, but after that, it's rich in flavor.
