Peppery aroma. A lot of ethanol, heat, and pepper when consumed neat. Adding a little water or ice softens it, revealing pleasant vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon notes.
Considerably harsh and not enjoyable to drink straight. It worked well in an Old Fashioned, but lacked enough flavor depth for sipping neat.
The sweet ending lingers. I truly enjoy this.
