A very prominent peppery kick right at the beginning. However, there's a sweet vanilla undertone while the pour displays its cask strength. The cherrywood flavor is most striking, present throughout. The cherry is semi-sweet and tastes natural, working very well with the cedar and leathery notes. It appears quite difficult to locate and rare to purchase at its suggested retail price. I was fortunate to sample from a friend's collection. Based on the sample I had, the price isn't justifiable when considering other options like Willett 4 year, but it was a fine pour nonetheless.

Good, unique, different - exactly what you'd expect from an experimental. Obviously, rye spice, bourbon sweetness, and then a funky vegetal/herb note throughout.
Strong pepper and a touch of mint. Finishes long and smooth. I did appreciate the pour, courtesy of a friend, but I'd prefer to purchase an NBC or Willet.
