Like Skeptic Gin, Skeptic Vodka is smooth! This has become my preferred vodka for all mixed drinks. You can pour generous amounts of Skeptic Vodka, and there's virtually no burn, regardless of the quantity used. I'm not an alcohol expert, but after reviewing their website, I believe I've identified the reason for their spirits' smoothness. "Skeptic Vodka is distilled from midwestern corn using our cold vacuum still well below room temperature, which preserves the delicate flavors and efficiently removes the compounds that contribute to burn. This impossibly smooth vodka is not only cold vacuum distilled, but also carbon filtered 8x through our proprietary blend of ultrapure carbon using a unique process we developed that differs from how most other vodkas are carbon filtered". So, it appears the key lies in multiple carbon filtrations and cold vacuum distilling. While this might sound like industry jargon, I think they've discovered something significant. Definitely try Skeptic Vodka if you come across it; I'm confident you'll be impressed.
