Don't approach with lofty hopes, and frankly, why would you? It's a single malt under $40, no age statement, at least 40% ABV, from the massive company Diageo. So, if you don't have high expectations, you might find this quite enjoyable. It's straightforward and sweet, with almost no lingering taste, but enjoyable nonetheless. The aroma is sweet lemon and sweet red fruits like berries and red apple, with a slight doughy quality, hints of vanilla, and caramel. Is there a whisper of smoke? The texture is quite smooth for the low alcohol content, featuring red apple (including the skin), lemon, some bready or yeasty notes, and a touch of spice. It's very sweet, with just a trace of floral or herbaceous character. Expect orange peel and berries. The finish vanishes immediately, leaving only a bit of wine-like fruitiness, light apple, and a hint of fresh wood. It's easy to sip and quite pleasant. But many whiskies are.

This malt offers excellent value, with both bottles I've bought costing under £25. Furthermore, it's a very enjoyable malt to drink. It has a pleasant light flavor, is easy on the palate, and is nice for a quiet evening by the fire when you don't want a peaty, well-aged malt and perhaps want to have a few more than usual.
3.25. Sherry and oak dominate immediately. The mouthfeel is creamy, finishing dry with hints of subtle tobacco and smoke. Nicely balanced considering the intense fruity sherry notes on the palate.
Frankly, I anticipated more from it. The grassy sensation at the back of the throat was something I disliked. Additionally, its finish is quick and forgettable.
Aroma reminiscent of Christmas pudding, mild. Lacks mouthfeel or warmth. Easy to drink.
Purchased in Denmark for about 22 pounds. A great value at that price.
