Silver Vodka

The aroma is nonexistent. The palate is rich rather than sweet, with a corn presence reminiscent of sucking on unflavored popcorn or the lingering taste of unsweetened puffed corn cereal. It's not particularly enjoyable or complex, but it's acceptable. It does have a noticeable harshness, though. A touch of sweetness mingles with a peppery flavor, and there's a faint hint of tropical fruit. The peppery harshness also carries an alcoholic bite, which is not ideal. It's a drinkable vodka, but not outstanding. Re-evaluating this after trying another brand, the harshness is much more apparent, although there is a peppery heat that gives it a spicy quality for some. I find this one slightly preferable to the other, but neither is exceptional.

This is still clearly better than 10 Thirty but not as good as Chopin Wheat. It's somewhat harsh and peppery with some sweetness and citrus. It's not rich or complex, but the alcohol level isn't excessive and it doesn't taste artificial. There's also a slight hint of grain sweetness. It would be quite good if it weren't so harsh. I'm thinking a 10 to 11 now, but I'll stick with my previous score of 10 because that harshness really irritates my tongue quickly. In terms of flavor, it holds up well against Kirkland French vodka (though this one is sweeter and lighter). The harshness is a significant issue, though. It's a difficult decision, but I'm keeping my original rating.
