The bouquet is excellent, with spicy and woody characteristics. The flavor profile is complex, featuring grainy notes and hints of pit fruit like apricots, perhaps a dark plum. I detect spice in the longer finish, making for a complicated taste that I'm enjoying unraveling.
Buttery cinnamon on the nose. The taste is vanilla with bread and light grain. Viscous. Solid mouthfeel with a moderate finish, where I do detect a bit of spice and clove.
This is fantastic. It drinks as if it were much lower in proof.
